This is our first time WWOOFing and we had an amazing experience!
Hannah and I now have a plot at our local community garden!
We’ve had an incredible first harvest! The garden produced wonderfully.
Since the garden has been continuously updated from Facebook I’ve decided to make a single post containing the entire backlog to make catching up easier. Future updates will have their own posts.
I want to talk a little bit about using rice hulls and alfalfa from a feed store vs buying them from a company who intends them to be used as soil amendments.
In an attempt to save money and have a tent more compact than what is available any where online or otherwise we made our own grow tent.
Youtube user Guy Brown inspired us to make seedling cups using toilet paper. We decided to go this route because we have a tray for rock wool or coco plugs and this allows us to make our own plugs relatively easily and cheaply.
Scallions, Broccoli, Cabbage, Lettuce, Spinach, and Celery. (6 rows x 13 ea. = 78 seedlings)
